VIDEO: Two Girls In A Shower Discuss The ...

The majority of the time we here at BFV scout the globe to bring you the very best free videos out there.  But not this time. This time I am going to use a particular viral video to set an example; an example of just how desperate and lame some people are to get something viral going.

In this case: “Two Girls In A Shower”.  That is the BRAND.  It’s just two chicks, standing in a shower.  They might be naked, but probably aren’t.  And they talk about whatever is most likely the biggest topic of the week according to MyBlogLog.  This is, in my opinion, what I hope your attempts to make a video go viral, never become.

The New Craze – Downloading ...

By Deniz Kumral

With the introduction of online videos through sites such as YouTube and Google Video, downloading streaming video for one’s personal collection seems to be the latest obsession of Internet users, especially among the younger generation. The staggering popularity of online videos can be attributed to their ease of use and their viral nature. Downloading online videos, on the other hand, is largely because users want to constantly have access to the videos they view on the previously mentioned streaming video sites.

What is streaming video?

Streaming videos are essentially a sequence of images in motion. These videos are in a compressed form so that they can be easily transmitted over the Internet. These are said to be streaming because users view the videos right when data arrives. Hence, streamed videos are said to be sent from the supplier to the viewer in real-time manner.

Watching streaming video vs. downloading streaming video

Downloading online videos is not the same as simply watching them being streamed over the Web. Downloading streaming videos refers to actually capturing the data transmitted, as opposed to just having the video loaded into one’s browser.

As another point of differentiation, streaming videos can be viewed simply by visiting YouTube or a similar site. Downloading streaming videos, in comparison, often requires a third-party site that allows you to capture a streaming video or additional software.

Why download streaming video?

One of the main reasons for downloading streaming video is so that you can keep a particular video in your own personal media collection. This is very common among avid music fans who like to keep copies of music videos on their personal computers.

Another reason for downloading online videos is to be able to watch your videos even without an active Internet connection. Videos that have been captured from streaming sites offer you the convenience of watching the video clips anywhere, anytime. Downloading streaming videos for the purpose of having funny videos or how-to videos offline is very common these days.

Various ways to download online videos

There are several ways to capture streaming videos. The first method includes visiting a third-party site that allows you to input the URL (uniform resource locator) of any streaming video. By simply entering the address of your desired online video, these sites will generate a movie file in a preferred format. Most sites will allow you to have your download in the FLV, AVI, MOV, MPG, or WMV format.

Another way to download online videos would be to install a software application with this functionality. There are numerous software packages readily available on the Net that will allow you to capture videos found on streaming media sites. Both free and commercial software are available.

Joining the new craze

Do not be afraid to join the online video bandwagon. Downloading streaming videos is both fun and very useful. Doing so allows you to build up your own personal media collection that can be viewed even when you are offline.

Make a Video For Online Video Sharing ...

By Patricia C Davis

If you have ever thought about making a video to upload to YouTube or one of the other online video sharing sites, there is no better time to do it than now. Videos are fast becoming the most popular form of entertainment and information for many people. Most people would rather watch an informative video than read a long article on the same topic. As far as entertainment value, you can’t beat online videos.

So how do you get started? Making a video online may seem like a complicated endeavor at first, but don’t worry, it is much simpler than it seems. You don’t have to be a “techie” to create great videos if you use the proper tools and techniques.

First of all, you need to decide what type of video you want to create. A few of your options are:

1. Instructional — a tutorial or demonstration on how to perform a certain task or project.

Example: How to use PhotoShop to get the red-eye out of your images

2. Informative — similar to an article where you are presenting information about a topic.

Example: The best places to stay in Estes Park Colorado

3. Entertaining — using humor and creativity with the purpose of entertaining your audience. (Note: This is the type of video that has a biggest potential of going viral on the internet)

Example: A spontaneous capture of your poodle using the toilet.

Once, you have decide what type of video you want to create, then you need to determine how you will record it. If you will be demonstrating something on your computer screen then you will need a screen capture software similar to Camtasia. You can also use a free screen grab program and create a slide show of images with Windows Movie Maker or any other free video-editing program.

If you want to create a travel review or capture spur-of-the-moment action then you will need an actual camera of some kind. You can use a video enabled cell phone, a simple flip camcorder or a full-blown video camera. The smaller cameras produce surprising quality and are convenient to carry around with you. They are quite inexpensive too. The downfall is that they don’t often produce high quality audio. You can use a microphone to help solve this problem.

On the other hand, the more expensive video cameras usually produce much better quality and sound and are recommend for a more professional finished product. The type of camera you choose will depend on the purpose of your video (fun or business) and what you may already have on hand. You will want your final footage to be as high quality as possible. This will limit the amount of editing you have to do.

To improve the quality of the video, make sure it is filmed with good lighting and limit the amount of background noise so the audio is clear.

Once you have your video recorded, whether a screen capture or action footage, you may need to clean it up a bit. You want your video to be as high quality as possible in order to keep your viewers watching to the end. If there are a bunch of mistakes in a tutorial video or long pauses in an action video, you may loose your viewers at that point. You can accomplish simple video editing tasks with software like Windows Movie Maker. Most Windows and Mac computers come with editing software built in. And as luck would have it, there are some great video tutorials on YouTube that show you how to use this software.

How long can you make your videos? You will most likely be uploading your videos to YouTube, since it is the granddaddy of the video sharing sites, in addition to a few other popular sites. YouTube’s basic free account only allows a maximum of ten minutes per video, but you can always break your video up into part 1, part 2, etc. And you can upload as many videos as you want.

Now that you have created a video and edited it to your liking, you will need to get it online. This can be accomplished by simply creating an account at video sharing sites and using their upload feature. Then all you have to do is let people know where they can view your video.
